About The Awards

For the past 8 years the NUS Awards have been celebrating the work done by Students’ Unions.

The awards are an opportunity for Students’ Unions to gain national recognition for their efforts. These are awards for all Students’ Unions, for officers, for staff from both FE and HE, across all activities from campaigning and diversity to education and student opportunities.

The event is important to the movement because it is a collective celebration of Students' Unions' successes.

Nominations for the NUS UK Awards open Monday 13th March 2017 9am, and close on the Thursday 13th April 2017 12pm, so make sure you don’t miss out on the opportunity to nominate.

This year the categories are:

Campaigns Award

Diversity Award

Education Award

Student Opportunities Award

Officer Team of the Year Award

The Simpson/King Staff Achievement Award

Students’ Union Award (FE & HE)

The Awards are judged by an experienced panel from across the education sector and beyond and are a great opportunity for your efforts to be to be showcased.

This year there will be two Further Education award recipients, and two Higher Education award recipients selected for each category that will be announced prior to the ceremony on 5th July. These award recipients will be celebrated at the NUS Awards 5th July 2017 at SU2017.
